Happy Birthday Number 1 Robin!!!

Holy smokes, it's already been a year! It's hard to believe, but our little girl is one, or as Grandpa Potter would say, she has seen one rotation of the earth around the Sun. But who's kidding; we all know the Sun rotates around Robin.

For Robin's first birthday, we went to Vimy Ridge Park, just down the street from our house. There's a splash pad and a wadding pool there for the kids, plus picnic tables and a fire pit for us to roast up some weenies. We decided to have a party with just family this year. In attendance were Ba'cha (or Catherine as adults call her), Greg (Grandpa), Janet (Grandma), Kirk, Miyuki, Lisa, Nina, and the Bucks came by too, Deanna, Wayne, and Andrew (good name). We were also fortunate enough to have some special guests from out of town, as Miyuki's parents are in for a visit: Etsuo (Miyuki's Dad) and Takuko (Miyuki's Mom).

There was good food (even the stuff I dumped on the ground), fun times at the water park, and best of all: Robin's First Cake! That's right, it was so important that it needed to be capitalized. Here are some pics (and if we upload them soon, the videos are even BETTER!)

Happy birthday little girl! We love you soooo much, and it's going to be sad to go to back to work. Starting tomorrow. Want to come to work with Dada? Yes? Great! You're the best little girl ever.
