BIG NEWS, Uncle Jessie, and her new best friend

JEN IS PREGNANT!!! AGAIN! The baby is due April 29 next year and we are really excited. Bot or girl, it's going to be fun. I've been paying close attention to Kirk, Miyuki, Lisa and Nina, so I think I understand fully how hectic a 2 child family can be. Greg has told me that the change between 1 and 2 children isn't a big deal, but the change from 2 to 3 was huge. I think I might beg to differ, but we'll see.

Jen's brother Dan has recently moved back to the city and has been helping us with the upstairs, which is now done! Hoorah! So we have a room for Robin. And Danny. He is moving into the other bedroom upstairs for a while. So he's pretty much Uncle Jesse from Full House. If he starts making wood jokes, I might have to call him Uncle Joey (although he doesn't live in a bay window.) Yes, I do remember the show. Owch.

Robin is walking, talking and eating up a storm as usual. She's become a little more particular about her foods, but still better than I ever expected. It's all about patience it seems. And sneaking in healthy food with the good stuff. Especially bread. ANYTHING bread. At Thanksgiving in Thunder Bay for Alex and Jane's wedding, I was giving her mini hot turkey turkey sandwiches, hiding the turkey inside the tasty, tasty bread. She must get the bread thing from me.

At the wedding, Robin found a new best friend. When watched her point with both fingers, excitedly rushing towards her suddenly most favorite companion. Take a watch and find out.

Now just as long as she doesn't take this lesson to real life.

The latest on the little cutey

Robin's little advancements are happening so quickly lately. Uncle Dan just came back into town and noticed that in two weeks, she has gone from falling about every couple of steps to tearing across the room without falling! She's getting more interactive with her toy bear, and her blanky. I think we might be getting a little Linus on our hands.

She's a little chatterbox too. She can say Mama, Dada, bear, shoe, nana (banana), dog, bow-wow, and - most defiantly - no. Although I don't think she always knows what it means. Sometimes at dinner, she'll look frantic, point at our food and going "nooooooooooooo!" Then the food comes near her mouth, and she chows down.

Little Nina is getting so big too! I'm sure there will be a day all too soon when I won't be able to do this anymore:
Since we are going to Thunder Bay for Jane and Alex's wedding, we're having two Thanksgiving dinners: Saturday with Jen's family, then Sunday with mine. I'll tell you what, it's going to be one interesting weekend.
