- Crawling (which there is a video of a few posts back)
- Pulling to stand (which means going from sitting to standing while holding on to something)
- Babbling her head off (not English that I understand anyways)
- Popped her first tooth this last week (I'll get a pic up once I can get her mouth open)

Leaps and Bounds
Robin is advancing at warp speed lately! Ever since she's started crawling, it's been one thing after the other. Here's the latest milestones of our little spring bird:

Our Trip to Cuba Part 1: Destination, pool
For Spring Break 2009, Jen and I packed up Robin, waved goodbye to the incoming flood waters, and went to Cuba.
To sum it up, the trip was GREAT. Perfect weather, good food, amazing beach, and fantastic people. As is becoming a trend nowadays, we went for a "Destination Wedding" for our friends Owen and Krista. There were about 60 people, and we stayed for a whole week in Sirenis La Salina in Varadero. It's basically a resort town with hotels lining the northern beach filled shores of Cuba.
So how did Robin, at 8 months old, take to such a trip? Like she was born a Commie! She was great. The plane ride there: little angel. The plane ride back: sleeping angel.
The resort consisted of two circles of condo-ish complexes. In the middle of each was a gigantic pool, one a quiet pool and one the loud pool. We spent about half our time in Cuba by the quiet pool with Robin. And man did she love it! She was one splashing baby full of fun.
Most of the time, she was dressed in her sun-proof water outfit. She looked like she was trying out for the luge. Most convenient for us.
And how could I not end this with a video of splashing girl herself! Enjoy, and pretend you are there right now. I know I will.

Crawling time!
Holy smokes, our baby can crawl! She just did it in the forward direction for the first time today. Here's the first video of her crawling:
This video might have to be sent in somewhere. Too funny. Sorry girl, but I'm sure you'll forgive me.
Congrats Robin! Welcome to the world of going where you want to on purpose.

An 8-month Robin recap
Since Jen did a Robin update on her blog, I thought I'd put a link to it here. Saves writing it all again. Click on it and enjoy.

Cuba!
We just came back from our "spring break" trip to Varadero, Cuba.
Our friends Owen and Krista got married, and since Owen is a teacher, spring break was the time to go. And since Jen and I are not teachers, and Robin is not in school, it was "spring break" to us.
There will be pictures and videos up as soon as we can get them downloaded on the computer. It was good times, and it turns out Robin - no surprise - was a fantastic traveler.
